Another Great Week!

We have had another fantastic week. I am very impressed with our overall behavior choices. When we are meeting expectations and SOARing, it makes it so much easier to accomplish what we set out to do. In fact, this week we've accomplished even more than I expected. That always makes me happy. :) Tomorrow your child will come home with a Scholastic Inventory Score. Please look over this information with your child and discuss how they feel about themselves as a reader. Their self-esteem as a reader makes all the difference on their overall success. I will also upload the newsletter tomorrow, so check back for that. In the meantime, please enjoy just a few of the activities we've been working on this week at school.

Missouri Salt Dough Maps

We've also been working a lot this week on double digit by one digit multiplication problems. I think most of the students are starting to get it. This is a great skill to practice on at home. My suggestion to you is to have them do what we call a "Think Aloud." This means that everything they think in their head, they say out loud. This way you can see and hear the process they are using to solve each problem.
