Another Great Week!

I can't believe it's already the end of September! The quarter will be over before we know it. I hope that grade checks made it home to you. Most of them came back signed. I appreciate you taking the time to let me know you discussed them with your child.

With that being said, we are cracking down on skills that students are struggling with. I have turned in a few names of students that I am recommending for tutoring services. I haven't heard back on those as of yet. If you feel your child would benefit from tutoring, please send me an email. We are working hard in small groups during the class day. However, some students just require extra time to master skills.

Multiplication- I am still concerned that some students have not fluently mastered their multiplication facts. We will begin practicing math facts twice a week. If your child is not getting at least 80% of the problems, in the five minute time period, they will be asked to practice it for homework. Mastering multiplication facts is a vital part of the fourth grade curriculum. Many of the students are beginning to get frustrated with other math skills because they need to know their math facts in order to understand the new skills. (factors vs multiples)

Make sure you sign up for a time slot for parent/teacher conferences. Click here for my sign up genius.

I hope you all have a fantastic and beautiful weekend!

Mrs. Lindsey
