Happy Snow Day!

I hope you are all enjoying this beautiful snow day. I feel like we were just getting back into our normal routine, and here we are again out of school.  That being said, please encourage your child to do extra reading, practice multiplication and division facts to twelve, and complete their math packet that is due Monday. You can find information about the packet in our newsletter for this week.

Next Tuesday is our 200 marble celebration. We will celebrate SOARing choices with a Sock Hop and class vs class game in the gym. I'm very excited to celebrate our successes.  Let me know if you have any questions.

Here are a few pictures of math this past week. We are working on finding the perimeter and area of irregular polygons. The students explored building shapes out of marshmallows and craft sticks and then found both the area and perimeter of their shapes. It was a fun exploration!
